I have personally never gotten any voting text messages, but I’ve received a few voting emails recently from the scum in my neck of the woods. I personally find it sad and pathetic, but then again, I’m not the type who is easily swayed by an email or text.

Most everything I learned, I learned from my mother. Cannot remember when, but at some point I got saddled with being the one who helps my mom cook most every night. No complaints here since it’s an essential life skill.

Considering you can’t even ask genAI to summarize a page without it falling for prompt injection, what makes me think it could replace a teacher of any subject?

There is no substitute for proper learning and genAI is not even close to a substitute for bad learning, IMO. Best I could get is a massively hallucinated mess that will probably end up causing kids to grow up not actually knowing what 2+2 is because every other week the genAI model changes the answer to another random integer.

I have zero concern for humans teaching as it stands.

QWERTY layout. I was never taught teaching in school because I was part of the “you should already know how to type” 2k schooling. I can also type due to muscle memory ( much more easily on a non-flat keyboard ) but it’s not an efficient typing compared to someone my age from the past who was formally taught touch typing.

It also doesn’t help that I usually use just my thumbs, index, and middle fingers to type usually.

This is why I think having something like a cheap buy in per pull request until you become a trusted community member alongside needing to create an account tied to an email and/or phone number you have access to would be one effective way to keep away probably a good chunk of the genAI creeps away, as long as it’s implemented on your own self-hosted git.

It would also make it easy to just ban whoever uses a genAI agent by being able to close their account immediately if need be. It would be a small price to pay that not everybody would be comfortable with, but stability without being flooded with genAI toxic waste is more important in open source right now, IMO, than anything else ( besides the long running social issues there have always been in this male dominated space ).

There’s nothing like the IOC for not allowing a man to wear a helmet honoring some of the people that fell in war, but also allowing a country in the middle of middle of an attempt to annihilate that same country that isn’t allowed to honor their dead to participate.

No wonder people like me laugh at them when they try to say they don’t want politics in to games. They’re a fucking genius bunch of circus clowns, I’ll give them that.

If we’re talking city wide, then I doubt there are many fluent French speakers. So I’d Probably choose French just to not use it.

Since it’s genAI, it’s one of the very few things I will 100% agree on any Hollywood groups on when it comes to business.

I just hope the rest of the big players don’t go down the Dosney route and lose any humanity they have left by using genAI.

I don’t got anyone, but coincidentally I will be at a Lunar New Year event that the college club I’m in has a table at so we can fundraise.

Paranoid bunny is how I felt yesterday before I learned the bug exterminators coming to my apartment for a roach problem fucked up and told the front office we didn’t prepare right for bedbugs ( a problem we haven’t had for nearly, if not longer than, a year now ).

If I knew who the office were going through, I would have called that company and given them an absolute earful! They were very unprofessional considering they knocked a bunch of my things off my bed!

That wouldn’t work for me because I would have to convince the college club I’m in to all move over to some random service they have never heard of. There’s no way I could possibly do that without some push back due to us having a working solution.

That’s sounds like a good deal, but you ain’t getting me to buy it purely because they updated the voices and replaced the original voice Tails had in the original version. I like that Tails voice so much better than what we got in x Shadow. Also, that would mean they’d have to have updated the French Tails voice and I refuse to listen to it because 2011 French Tails is perfect.

Basically any genAI community that pops up on the main feed gets blocked.
