I’ve lived in China and this sounds like propaganda. So much so I honestly can’t tell if you’re trolling.

Genuinely asking, why are there a lot of “China good US bad” posts on lemmy? Like is it Chinese citizens posting this, pro-communist westerners? Bots?
I ask because when I see pro-capitalist posts elsewhere I assume they are bots or Americans that watch too much Fox News.
Jfc.
Fuck that guy. Seriously.
But we should read the fucking article if we’re going to quote it.
Next sent sentence:
Mr Hegseth later told USA Today that his remarks were intended to be a joke.
Maybe he was covering his ass, maybe it was a joke. But this is like the last thing on an incredibly long list of things to try and go after for.

2·20 days agoThey are depreciating due to market forces (upgrades), but the data centers and hubs of gpus are infrastructure in a similar way that fiber and rails were in the other bubbles. I think the comparison stands. They all age to some extent, but gpus depreciate in value faster because nvidia is always marketing the next generation, not because they physically degrade that fast.
I say this as someone genially against the rapid construction of new data centers btw.

The best show they have
I use Swiftfin on the Apple TV and love it. Great UI and responsive.
It buffers occasionally but not much more than a paid for streaming service.

Games@lemmy.world•What are your hallmark games? What games have shaped how you view games?English
1·2 months agoSuper Smash Bros — I play better when I play to get better and have fun. Worse when I try to win. Was a great lesson in general.
Hollow Knight & Silk Song — art and music and such tight games
Slay the Spire — hedging bets and long term thinking in a way that’s much more nuanced than standard RPGs
Sekiro — like playing an instrument

2·2 months agoCurrently really liking Sekiro. I think it’s my favorite game in a long time. I think one of my favorite reviews of it likened it to learning to play an instrument. Not because of the timing/parrying mechanic but because of the difficulty and how it rewards short bursts of “perfect” play.
Slay the Spire 2 is amazing as well. I’m used to the polish of the first, and SS2 is early access so understandably is missing some polish. I think when it’s totally done it will be very clearly better than SS1.

The most reported adverse event (n=7) was COVID-19.
They’re required to report it, but so funny.
