Given how many scams have surged in recent years, I kind of agree with that parody statement.

I’ll bite. I could have seen myself doing something like this before I was put on anti-anxiety and anti-depression medication. The reasoning was I would have invented some kind story in my head that ACTUALLY my husband is going on this trip because he HATES ME. Or maybe he’s cheating. Or or or or- and it would have spiraled out from there until I was in tears. It sucked, and I am still sometimes kind of shocked I survived long enough to get treatment.
Not saying that’s what happened here of course, but I could empathize.

Not that good, the backlash was immense and if I remember right, people were dropping patreon subs over it.
EDIT: I might also not be remembering right. The thing I’m thinking of was an additional fee regardless of what platform you used to access Patreon.

Expecting Patreon to not want to bother fighting them over it, and they are correct in that assumption.

2·11 days agoWhen I switched to Mint, I waited 1.5 months to see if I would ever boot back into my Windows partition. I did exactly one time and it wasn’t even worth it, so I was pretty happy when I got to nuke that partition and get my storage space back haha.

Even Webtoons is better than Instagram…
Not that Webtoons is that good either but at least they offer RSS feeds so I don’t have to actually GO there.
