The agency had insisted for a couple of months that it was confident that Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore would return on Starliner.

Imagine planning to be away for 8 days, and then ending up being away for 8 months.

If it’s Boeing, you’re not going (home)

At least they made it to the ISS Let’s hope they manage to be able to fill in the roles of those not going to the ISS for the next rotation. I recall that they do a lot of training to be able to handle different operations on the ISS.

Several people in a thread about this yesterday were arguing that they were happy to be up there and definitely don’t want to be on Earth with their families. I wonder if those people will still be claiming that in 2025?

I don’t think they were necessarily claiming they were happy, just that we didn’t know for sure what they were thinking. Some people were claiming that they were definitely unhappy… But I don’t think you can know that without asking them.

That’s really unnecessary, even as a joke.

It’s not even a good joke, if that’s what was intended.

Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
