I enjoyed this experiment with ebonizing using iron acetate. I used the ratios from here: https://jwoodscience.springeropen.com/articles/10.1186/s10086-023-02079-0
It worked great. A few spots where I accidentally touched where I didn’t want to stain were reversed by using lemon juice!
