My green water culture is challenging to study with the microscope but still a lot of fun.

      I think I need to get my objective and condenser aligned better to get this to work at higher magnifications. I wish I understood how to do that. Right now otherwise at 40x objective only the specimen near the top of the fov will actually be visible. And also I get a gradient on the background instead of solid dark field.

        Ah I didn’t realize that aligning the condenser could help. I’m going to try that. I tend to get gradients in my background on higher magnifications as well, but since I do more artsy things I tend to use that to my advantage with rhienburg illumination mixed in. It can look quite nice.
