Hi all! Well… I never thought I’d find myself moderating a seriously kinky NSFW adult community anywhere, but here we are!

I assume that this community was first created by a user named @ABDL_Network sometime in the wake of one of the big Reddit dramas that drove a lot of intense (but for many, temporary) interest in the Fediverse. I’m sure they did it with the best of intentions, but at some point along the way they went M.I.A., and this sub (among others) were left to stagnate.

So, while I’ve never had a very strong motivation to moderate a community like this, I also didn’t want to see the potential of key kink communities be squandered here on the fediverse, so I requests to take over as the lead moderator.

As of right now, my vision for this community is to be a place away from Reddit and other corporate social media where the ABDL community and friends can hang out, discuss things, make connections, and share relevant media, SFW and NSFW alike. While this is a NSFW instance, and a kink-adjacent space, I want to warmly welcome all community members regardless of their sexuality, orientation, kinkiness, lifestyle, or whatever draws them here!

Right after posting this I’ll be putting in some work to come up with what I think are appropriate rules and resources for getting this community off the ground. (Perhaps it’s needless to say that ALL LemmyNSFW.com rules are to be followed here, but I’m saying it anyway!)

In the long term, I will be looking for trustworthy and responsible help to run this community from within in the form of additional mods who are active and upstanding members of the community.

So whether you’re a comfortable ABDL, a longtime member of the kink community, or just a curious person who found their way here and is interested to find out more about this lifestyle/kink, I welcome you to participate respectfully and in good faith, and on top of that, have fun!
