Finally, the card-holder! Probably made with a variation on saddle stitch where I sewed first one side, then the other. Sewn with cotton yarn, not very elegant haha. It can hold 4 cards comfortably on each side.

And this is how it compares to the notebook holder I’ve shown before

I like it a lot. The important thing about this, is that you created something yourself. :) The only reason other peoples works look better is because they have tools and experience.

The first wallet I did just made me want to remake it better. There’s so many free resources online, you can literally search online for “leather wallet” “leather bag” “free pdf” etc and you’ll find them. There’s also hundreds of tutorials for everything.

If you doing this made you feel good, then I say keep going. You’ll only get better.

Got to start somewhere! That looks like a fun project. It’s perfectly utilitarian, and you’ve learned how to do better next time.

Yes! It was fun and very simple, the holes did take some patience but at least I didn’t try so sew directly into the leather hahaha

It definetly does it’s job and it does it well. The only thing I miss is somewhere to have coins, but my next project is already brewing in my brain!

Ah, been waiting on this one! As Actionjbone has said it’s a great little project, fits perfectly its intended purpose, so I’d just say congratulation!

For the next one, maybe get proper thread, it’d be much more durable and would make it look more like traditional leatherwork.

Looking forward to seeing your take at the madamesew pattern! Are you planning on mixing leather and fabric for this project?

Yes, I finally posted it haha. Thank you!

I definitely need proper thread for my next project. I’m actually considering having fabric for the inside dividers/pockets, but we’ll see. I might still have some thin and soft leather so that might work. We’ll see :D
