Finished Mistborn: Secret Histories novella. Don’t want to spoil, but it was really exciting to read this secret history.
Read Redshirts by John Scalzi. A sci-fi about the “redshirts” in a Star-Trek like universe. Highly recommended for any Star Trek fan.
Started Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire. First book in her October Daye urban fantasy series. This is my first Seanan McGuire book, have heard a lot about her.
Still skimming through The Bullet Journal Method by Ryder Caroll.
Putting Ultra-processed Food by Chris van Tulleken on hold for a bit, shouldn’t have started multiple non-fiction at once. Will pick it up after finishing the Bullet Journal Method.

As with any genre, some authors are stronger than others. There’s a lot of trash, but there’s some really good stuff as well. Dungeon Crawler Carl, for example, has my highest recommendation.
I like DCC, but Matt Dinniman doesn’t seem to publish three books a year, where RinoZ does. I should’ve clarified I was worried about the quantity vs quality.
Gotcha. I apologize, I thought you were asking about the genre in general, not RinoZ specifically.
I haven’t read his main series, Chrysalis, yet, but it’s pretty consistently ranked as one of the best in the genre. For Book of the Dead, I haven’t noticed any story or worldbuilding issues that typically accompanies rushed projects. It’s pretty well put together, barring a comic relief character with a juvenile sense of humor and the occasional typo.
