Yum Brands said Wednesday it’s targeting underperforming Pizza Hut restaurants in its system. Pizza Hut has more than 6,000 locations in the U.S.
Louisville, Kentucky-based Yum Brands said in November it was conducting a formal review of options for Pizza Hut, which has struggled with outdated stores and growing competition. The chain’s U.S. same-store sales, or sales at locations open at least a year, fell 5% last year, Yum said.
“weve tried nothing and were all out of ideas. it cant be because our product sucks donkey balls”
They moved away from a sit down restaurant environment into a hole in wall pick up or delivery environment. They could have just shrank the dine in portion of their locations and kept enough tables to keep customers who are passing through or just want to eat out. You have to pay for things that used to be free and I have got to the point that I eat there once or twice a year.
I guess you CAN out pizza the Hut.
I can’t remember the last time I bought from Pizza Hut. I’d rather buy from a local pizzeria or restaurant.
Should have kept the buffet!
Maybe if their pizza didn’t suck ass they wouldn’t be in this situation.
Pepperidge farm remembers when the pizza was actually good. Far cry from the garbage they try to sell now
