As of Jan. 22, Canadian bookings to American resorts for winter arrival were down about 41%, compared to just a 5% drop among US customers, according to industry tracker Inntopia.
With how overly packed American slopes get, to the point that locals can have a hard time having the opportunity themselves, that’s probably for the best in more ways than one.
I’m ashamed for the 59% still going. Especially for winter shit. C’mon.
I’m actually sad that it’s only 41% decrease.
I mean, that’s great, but nobody fucking needs to go to the US to ski.
Wouldn’t there be better skiing in Canada? I’m of the mind it’s like comparing Australian ski slopes to NZ.
We have a lot of flat areas or inaccessible areas
Who, Australia or NZ?
I got nothing to go on, I’ve been to neither ski field but I’ve heard repeatedly that NZ is a different league.
That’s good, but also there’s no fucking snow.
Plenty of snow here in Canada
Why would Canadians not want to leave their good snow to try out the American snow-less fascist slopes? It’s a mystery!
Driving over the cascades and Rockies in rain… in February is pretty fuckin weird.
Not a very hard boycott, definitely easier and better to avoid the hassle of traveling there all together
They have the better rocky slopes anyway?
