Oh hey F-Zero AX, wasn’t that game meant to come out to the states but never did for some reason?
Triforce Arcade Games: based upon the GameCube architecture.
Literally a stock Gamecube motherboard with an optical drive replacement and odd peripherals.
But still a pain in the ass because everything’s rare, bespoke, and designed to prevent a whole different kind of piracy.
Anyone have good recommendations for Triforce games? Never heard of it before Dolphin’s blog post.
I really like Mario Kart GP with Namco characters.
I would like GP2 but they added the most annoying announcer ever who constantly calls out position changes.
If I had to guess, F-Zero AX would be one.
…having looked it up, that and the Mario kart arcade game are the only two I recognize, and its a short list. There was apparently an unreleased Star Fox game(!), Virtua Striker soccer (including several sequels), a baseball game with a long title, and a game called Avalon no Kagi (also with sequels) which was a board/card type game and used the card reader.
That basically makes up the entire list, on the website I found.
Anyone have good recommendations for Triforce games?
There weren’t many, as Nintendo wasn’t all that interested. Notable was F-Zero AX, which had some content crossover with its GameCube counterpart via the memory cards.
