Shumer went on record Wednesday saying “Look, we are in this together, we can’t let divisiveness lead us to war without having the Democrats in on it, it isn’t fair and it betrays our long history as a party of bipartisan warhawks who support killing brown people no matter who’s idea it originally was unlike by the way, Republicans, who get hyperpartisan about this issue. As it stands though, because we will not be included in the pro-war positive media coverage as prominent players neither I nor Jeffries can support strikes with Iran, but we do see it as a great fundraising opportunity. We promise the American People we will keep dutifully searching for silver lining to always ceding power to fascism and we take this time to politely and formerly request that the President invite all Senators and House members in on insider trading ahead of military strikes, I am a moderate I am willing to work with Republicans here but it is undemocratic to exclude Democrats.”
