It’s just a typical day of Dynamite Fishing on a rural Wisconsin lake when something shocking happens: the yokel fisherman DOESN’T blow his hand off! But then he’s quickly eaten by a bog monster, so his afternoon is a wash. Awakened by the dynamite blast, the monster terrifies the community by cutting off their supply of cheese curds and occasionally drowning somebody.
