They still doing that “at YouTube adds block you” thing where they nuke your account if they think you’re blocking ads?

No Google required! :-)
Though you can enable / install a sandboxed Google play services and mirrored app store, and starve them of permissions except for what/when you absolutely require.
GrapheneOS lets you add “profiles” – essentially separate user accounts, and switch between them. Many folks put any Google stuff on a separate profile and otherwise stay on the surveillance free side.
You’ll want to install Obtainium and probably f-froid, to find all the open source apps you’re after.
Used pixel + GrapheneOS. Takes some getting used to, but most stuff works as expected. The default apps aren’t pretty, but ithe Fossify alternatives are a little nicer.
You’re leaving a whole ecosystem meant to work seamlessly without having to understand how it works, so be prepared for that…
I sync important things to an encrypted drive, so I can flash and restore with little lost but convenience and a couple of hours of downtime.

Walz was a rising hope, but the propaganda machine basically chewed him up and spit him out.
They’ve managed to associate him with fraud that other people are responsible for, and which, furthermore, are orders of magnitude worse in R governed states.
But, sadly, you can’t polish your image by saying “I had nothing to do with that fraud!”
Still, I hope he finds a way. He’d be the best president we’ve had since Carter.

4·1 month agoI mean… literally every modern American car with a touch screen and an internet connection. Burning gass or spinning electrons, that part is the same regardless.
Don’t use your phone computer for work. Even if you’re an independent consultant, S Corp or whatever. Just don’t.
For privacy and legal reasons, and your own sanity, just get a separate computer and only ever use that for work.
Most of the time you can write that off anyway.
My theory? Musk remotely grabbing the wheel while on a bad ketamine trip
