16·2 years agoIm TV L sinds nach kurzerm, unfokussierten googlen 30 Tage.
You’re right about that, but other countries have similar protection. E.g. our board equivalent here in Germany would tear you a new one for. And the GDPR is gonna finish the job

[Locked] YUROP@lemm.ee•This map shows the share of the European population that has (as of 2021) never (!) used the internet
8·2 years agoI can answer for Germany, it’s pretty much the same map as our demographic map. Eastern Germany is old, with older people not being interested in technology. Also this map seems to draw the borders on our states, so e.g. bavaria as a whole seems high, but it’s a mean vs median thing I guess.

10·2 years agoSome of the first pacemakers used radioactive batteries. We left that concept pretty fast. And that is considering you have to cut your patient open to change a pacemaker battery. This will not happen in commercial cellphones

4·2 years agoI use it on my Sonos atmos setup. It really is kinda hit or miss right now. I can see it working in classical music, there’s some excellent recording by the Berlin philharmonic in atmps which gives you the feeling of being in the concert hall.
Dunno about my heavy metal music though.

Ein opt out wäre machbar.

2·2 years agohttps://aws.amazon.com/s3/pricing/?p=pm&c=s3&z=4
This was what I was thinking about. I would definitely not use gdrive a a critical backup and the glacier tier at aws should be sufficient and cheaper than a hdd for years
Juviz@feddit.detodatahoarder@lemmy.ml•Mechanical or SSD for offsite storage that’s updated at least yearly?
61·2 years agoYou say that data is critical for your business, have you considered a cloud backup as well? AWS has very cheap storage options depending on the speed the file needs to be available at. Also I’d definitely not go with flash memory, bit flips can be a real danger. I’d go with a 1 TB HDD in an enclosure, additionally to a cloud backup

Yes, that’s why that type of screen was discontinued for a while
