I work with a 35 year old woman who keeps saying “catch one two” instead of “catch twenty two” despite numerous corrections from multiple people. 😞

Environment@sh.itjust.works•Survey: Nearly Half of Germans Now Consume Plant-Based MilkEnglish
1·1 month agoMy ranking of plant based juices is as follows:
- Almond juice
- oat juice
- soy juice
Almond and oat juice I prefer to full fat milk, which has such a gross mouth feel to me. I have no idea how I drank it as a kid. Skim milk is pretty even to almond juice in terms of flavor, but of course the almond juice is much easier on my stomach. About 2 years ago, I tried a new plant juice (or at least I think it was new, as I’d never seen it before) made from peas. That one was unfortunately vile. I can’t recommend anyone try pea juice. In my experience, it’s the only plant juice that’s significantly worse than whole milk.
In conclusion: Nut juice = skim milk > grain juice > bean juice >>>>> whole milk >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> pea juice

Technology@lemmy.world•Linux Distros Designed for Former Windows Users Are Picking Up Steam | Linux JournalEnglish
92·2 months agoIt’s people with attitudes such as yours that give Linux a bad name. Your response to someone who’s just told you that they’re used to 3 different Linux DEs is that they must be a beginner and should use a beginner distro is the height of arrogance. The person you responded to is clearly not a beginner, and that’s the response you have for them when they share their totally valid experience? Shameful.
That is a very mean and hurtful thing for that video to say!
What a terrible day to know how to read.
Might be time to abandon that settlement and find one that isn’t in the grip of eldritch horrors. 😅

3·3 months agoWhile I don’t know specifically of any compatibility issues, have you checked PC Part Picker? You can enter all your components into the site and it’ll tell you if there’s any potential compatibility problems.

Looks like Deadline is big mad I’m using NextDNS with some as/malware blocking lists, so they’re claiming their site is being broken because of it, despite the whole thing fully loading before the error message pops up. Looks like this is a site I never need to visit again.
