I can’t update YouTube on my iPad 2 that I got running again for the first time in years. It said it had been 70,000~ hours since last full charge. I wanted to use it to watch videos on when I’m going to bed. But I can’t actually login to YouTube because the app is so old and I seemingly can’t update it.

I was using the web browser and yeah I don’t remember it being so damn slow. It’s crazy how that is.

Because the US and Israel are buddies. Doesn’t mean Iran shouldn’t be sanctioned by Europe.

As someone who’s worked in the industry for a long time in the past. Driving ranges are for practice. Courses are exceptionally harder, the actual game. And I do agree they waste resources. But in the end, minus the waste of water, at least they’re being kept as green spaces.

To be clear I used to work for the government in this regard. The spaces would’ve been cleared for commercial use otherwise.

While I do find golf pretty boring. I’d like our established courses to remain.

I just finished moving a few weeks ago and I went through the same shit. Ended up getting a lot done on that last day. Thankfully I was downsizing so at least the trash is where half my shit went.

Yeah the last time I bought a phone was around 2021-22 with the S22, and that was the last time I could actually afford to buy a phone like that. If I were to buy a phone now it would be a cheap phone, not a main model from a big brand. My S22 still works, so I’m gonna keep using it.

The battery is starting to show its age, but nothing I can’t work around.

I’ve recently started using Discord more to play with friends and my god, the UI is so awful.

That’s totally fair. Nebula has been a good place for me to find distilled content from the creators I really care about. Hard to argue in Google’s defence lately. They bought it early so who knows what it might been if it stayed independent.

Just got a soft spot for the site I guess. It gave me some of my favorite people.

Oh yeah. It’s weird being old enough to remember a time before youtube and I’m still pretty young. My (much) older sister and I would AIM chat and email all the time. We had ytmnd.com and stupidvideos.com, but it turned out people would rather take the ease of video sharing whatever rather than the pseudo video dating youtube were trying and the founders recognized the greater potential.

I remember when the site first went public, even early on it was so much better than the others. Even with all the problems I’ll always love YT.

That’s fair though the drones they’re primarily concerned about look more like small planes rather than recreational drones. I’m assuming if any Poles have drones to fly, they’re likely well off enough to head a bit west to avoid them being shot down. And with modern nav/attack chains I’m pretty confident they’ll discern between the two.
