4·13 hours agoI’ve had some once at a restaurant in Amsterdam that was grown in Brabant, the sommelier said with climate change it was similar conditions to Burgundy in the 70s, but I certainly couldn’t taste that hahaha.
Cheese wise, I like them a lot but indeed they feel maybe a bit more utilitarian than a delicacy (like a lot of Dutch food actually), I would say that some of the ones with more age are tough.
I like to say, the Dutch eat to live, the French live to eat ;)

In the end there’s just a massive mountain of empty wrappers on the couch, they stay there until the next morning.
Same in the Netherlands you need to take vitamin D tablets to survive the winter.
Europe has the gulf stream keeping it warmer, you can also compare latitudes of eastern Canadian parts that get -30°c in the winter and they’re like the same latitude as Paris (which clearly doesn’t get that cold).

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Considering that LLMs are trained on the whole of the internet, it's kind of amazing that they don't talk back to you like a condescending, smug asshole

Please link to some good metalpunk, if that exists.
If you order the legendary steak instead of the burger, they give you Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker to cut it.
It’s the XcQ that tips me off, personally (and, well, in this case, the thumbnail).
