  • AYLM is a bit overpriced IMO (depends also where you are based), but the hard base is an improvement over their previous soft base. Their scents are good though and original, in a not so classic way. They have great gourmands.

I find the SV base is one of the best around. Most of their scents are dupes AFAIK, but really flawless. Also, contrary to AYLM, you can be sure that there’s no menthol in it.

SV is the safe bet, AYLM if you feel adventurous.

Edit: Koké is quite something - bewildering first contact, but great once you get used to it.

  • Saponificio Varesino Tundra Artica

    They say:

The name derives from the geographical area called Arctic Tundra, where the vegetable additives used in this soap find their natural habitat:

    • the Icelandic lichen (soothing, purifying, antibacterial, calming)
    • the cranberry (suitable for sensitive skin, soothing and toning, gives freshness and vitality).

The scent is a very nice, a bit subdued oud, but I have not found a clear description. They say:

Fragrance: to recall the environment of the Arctic Tundra, we relied on the Agar Wood fragrance but harmonized to convey a feeling of open, fresh spaces and with a markedly woody perception of shrubs.
