A mod removed a post because it was “sexual.” There was nothing sexual about it, it just mentioned HRT and transitioning. To my knowledge that mod has not been removed from the mod team so the subreddit is rightfully pissed that someone who thinks HRT somehow breaks the rules is still a mod.

I don’t know if this is true but I once read that people expected the cotton gin to improve slaves’ conditions because that part of the process was incredibly labor-intensive, so it would be saving them work. Instead it made cotton farming more profitable and boosted slave ownership. ☹️

The people doing the most damage to the world are billionaires who have access to power that the rest of us can hardly imagine, so we could talk about what it would look like to interrupt the cycle by not allowing them to reproduce and separating them from any existing children so over the long term other families have an opportunity to rise to the top (and maybe society would level out a bit in the process). If greed has a genetic component, this would also apply selective pressure against genes for greed.
