I already can’t hold a conversation, and I’ve never used an LLM.

United States | News & Politics@lemmy.ml•New York City police investigating after officers were hit with snowballs during a snowball fight
2·1 month agoMy bad, apparently the word “responded” was all that stuck in my head from the first paragraph and my stupid brain incorrectly filled the blanks.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it rude to go through the car wash with a bunch of snow on your car?
4·1 month agoI have, but they’re essentially just pay per use pressure washers.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Westerners, what's your impression on the Chinese Diaspora? And what does the people around your area of residence think of the Chinese Diaspora?
2·1 month agoThis is the first time I’ve encountered the word “Diaspora” outside of the social network. Seems to just mean migrants. Why would I think anything of them?
I’d not heard the term and had to look them up. The results I found had no pedals. They move by being pushed. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

3·1 month agoI keep reading that KDE is super customizable, but nobody ever gives examples. What can be customized other than changing colors and rearranging panels? I’d love to make it my own, but I don’t have the first clue what that would mean.
I never said bikes in general are ridden by toddlers, just push bikes. They don’t tend to have the strength to push very hard. Also doubt they’d be ringing a bell for anything other than to hear it themselves anyway
Would someone needing a push bike even be going fast enough for it to matter? I’d think it’d mostly be toddlers riding them.
That’s definitely more than one. And in the context of bankruptcies, I’d say “a lot” is accurate as well.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What skills did almost everybody have 50 years ago, but few people have today?
7·2 months agoYou likely already know this but if anybody else reading is interested, this is because if you test for your commercial license in an automatic then you’re restricted to only automatics. The schools are still teaching manual, so it doesn’t make any sense to learn that then test in an automatic and get that restriction.
