All the more reason to not use the epic games store…

In the end I guess it’s just centered around whatever this hypothetical gamer is looking for, but my current stance is predicated on Boots Theory, where purchasing an enticingly cheap console will absolutely screw you in the long run compared to an open platform such as the PC ecosystem. Open platforms are resistant from enshittification and software distribution monopolies, whereas the console market thrives on subsidized hardware that entraps their user into a locked in cage that seems impossible to leave the longer you spend.
I would even argue if I bought a cheap used office PC from some liquidated company for 50-60 USD and placed a modest GPU within it, even with lower specs compared to current console hardware, I have gotten better value for my money and have better future game and software prospects than the PS5/Switch2/Xbox Ecoystem owner.

But then that’s undermined by access to piracy then. Romsets for emulated consoles are widespread, and repacks of cross-platform releases are similarly ubiquitous.
Purchasing a closed hardware/software ecosystem makes little rational sense from a monetary perspective. It only makes more sense from a “simplicity” or “integration” perspective.

Some muzzle devices are explicitly designed to shatter glass alongside normal function - although they’re commonly found on breaching shotguns.

…and pay orders of magnitude more money for games, be forced into a subscription to play online, and be unable to run software like emulators officially.
Hol’ up, this look is so FIRE??!!??!!
Better than I can draw, this shit rocks

'cause they did, mate.

Reflective safety glasses that are tinted to cover their eyes!

Didn’t Louis Rossmann say they conversion rate when they briefly ran repair shop ads was less than 2% or something similar? I think he referred to it when talking about using adblock and donating/buying merch for your favorite creators instead.

The multiple layers of redundancy would likely clash with Adnauseum, yeah. Although that probably is just wasted compute - you may only need one or two of those solutions to have effective adblocking (uBlock for supported browsers, pi.hole for devices unable to have uBlock installed) rather than all 3 at once.

Good ol’ Streisand, coming to save us from people’s bullshit coverups.

As someone who lives in Silicon Valley (and is currently pursuing an EE degree), you either work for those companies, the military-industrial complex, or a startup about to be acquired by the tech giants, otherwise you are left behind economically and are unable to own a home or live without debt acquisition.
I’m still in college, I really don’t like the idea of working for these places, but it may not be much of a choice once I graduate. At least if I want to live where I grew up and make full use of my engineering degree.

Same, glad to hear there are others who found the path free from these parasites :)

All clicks are performed in an isolated sandbox separate from the user area (basically imagine the click register signal going out, but nothing more).

Ah on the storefront side, sorry. I made an educated guess, but I guess it’s not a good one XD.
Here is the Stoat/Revolt wiki with a complete list of clients (official and 3rd party) that you can check btw: https://wiki.rvlt.gg/index.php/Stoat_Clients
I wasn’t aware of the AI-generated code part, I’ll take a look at source to verify.

Stoat has 3rd party clients that are easy to install, I already got the Clerotri app downloaded directly from Accrescent on GrapheneOS (although I believe they have an F-Droid release).

No, what I am saying because that functionality exists within OBS, it can be redirected/repurposed to directly stream the video through another application/protocol entirely (although if that’s already release ready is up for debate).
The proof of capability is there from the pre-existing Youtube/Twitch use cases, but there’s no reason that OBS couldn’t work as well for something like Matrix (but the groundwork may not be ready yet).

I would imagine the limiting factors would be bandwidth and compute - I imagine discord offloads some of the processing on their servers to make sharing such a smooth experience, while services like Twitch intentionally introduce delay to make stream sniping more difficult.
So for OBS, the most difficult part of having a low latency stream to another person is having a strong, speedy connection, and a beefy enough gpu/cpu to handle the encoding quality necessary.
Rampocalypse is to blame. They’re simply not manufacturing any more units until memory prices drop (since raising prices on the SD would be a PR nightmare and they wouldn’t be able to eat the margins without that).
