I wonder how much it really costs to have claude opus implement simething like this, the real cost, not the “get hooked on ai” prices we have now.

I use cachy os for the optimizations on modern hardware and access to newer packages. I use it on ny pc for gaming and laptop for development. I find it more convenient than arch. But I can’t say if it is better.
I’m the kind that will try to install Arch from scratch, multiple times if needed and when I get a barely working desktop with Hyprland I switch to cachy os with KDE Plasma. Because that just works and I learned what I wanted from the scratch install. Edit: Anything I host probably runs Debian, anything I have to support(parrents) runs Linux Mint or Ubuntu.

Programming@programming.dev•Nano Queries, a state of the art Query Builder

11·13 days agoI don’t understand the usecase for this. Why would I want to create sql queries dynamically? Seems like a testing and index optimaziation nightmare. Maybe I’m just lacking.

7·18 days agoI had the same issue on my Thinkpad p14s 5th gen. UEFI upgrade fixed it for me.
I get where you’re coming from. But as something of an enthusiast myself I don’t always know GUI tools for all the tasks I can do in a terminal. Edit: typos

40·27 days agoI wonder if at some point Wine on Linux will become better than Windows itself.
I jumped from bash to fish because cachy os has it as default. I kinda don’t like it, it’s a little too fancy, but it’s not bad enough for me to bother switching the default to bash. So I’m using it. Still not quite liking it but maybe it’s growing on me.
Uh, got any examples? Asking for a friend.
I tried writing a long useless counter, but instead. I wish you the best and I hope you find some happiness.
What about breakfast, that first coffee is magical for some.

7·1 month agoI don’t have actual experience doing this myself but in my opinion what you are looking for is kiosk mode. Here is an article https://www.raspberrypi.com/tutorials/how-to-use-a-raspberry-pi-in-kiosk-mode/ Edit: Here’s an article about autoplaying a slideshow in google slides. You can set it as chrome homepage or pass the url as a parameter when staring chrome (I think) https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/google-slides-autoplay-how-automatically-play-step-by-step-jha-rwzac
Im not saying buy Samsung but my two fridges, one 5+ years and one closer to 9 years still work. No idea about other appliances. In Europe.
But I do, do that regularly. Why is it improper?
But what about
pacman -SsSync search? P.S. I like pacman, just that this combination of flags is a bit weird for me personally.
If I’m not mistaken, dnf is to yum as yay is to pacman. Edit: don’t shoot me I’m relatively new to arch based distros, AUR is scary.

Edit: changed my mind. While I don’t agree. This is not a bad idea.
