Technology@lemmy.ml•Musk failed to get the necessary permits to change Twitter’s building signage to X, and the police shut it down just in time for “er” to remain.
2·3 years ago“Again, I cannot stress enough how much of the company culture was oriented around managing this one guy.” I can’t decide between wanting to have a work environment like this for once for the laughs, or not wanting to act in front of him as if he’s a person to be respected. But I guess the collegial cohesion is great in this one, if you only have to tiptoe around a single person and everyone makes fun of it.
“Fragwürdiger Deutschrock kommt aus dem Chinaradio” - ich fahre nicht mit Kevin, aber bestaune diese schön prägnante Formulierung

10·3 years agoMy guess is future generations will look back in horror how people used stirring devices in plastic bowls, tearing down the inner layer right into their food. I imagine a monochrome flashback scene in a documentary.

4·3 years agoStrawberries are nuts by definition. I guess the definition is nuts, too.
I always drink freshly pressed juice of one lemon two days in a row and feel better. Maybe it’s imagination but I do it for years now everytime I have a sore throat. Hope you get better soon!
Let’s hope they are not able to discern valid news from satire

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s great you supported her until the end. We lost our 15 year old Rocky 6 weeks ago, he was adopted by us when he was 10. I never expected the emotions to hit so hard, since we knew he couldn’t live forever, but the brain doesn’t process emotional attachment in the same place where it processes logic. The grief comes in waves and the first days are the hardest. Always remember you did the right thing and stood by her side. And the pain will never exceed the amount of love and joy she gave you when she was there. The lovely grave shows that she won the jackpot when she entered your family, and I bet she knew.
