This isn’t a place for jokes. We were all unfortunate that this PoS was born into a rich family and eventually found his way to the oval office, despite his sheer incompetence. Now he’s using that position to massacre little kids who weren’t as lucky. If luck is the sole determining factor between a carefree life and untold tragedies, the lucky ones are in need of an unforgettably horrible lesson to remind them how worthless they really are.

A 160 people, mostly kids, were killed on the first day of this totally unprovoked aggression by the warmongers. Now about a thousand civilians are dead. The war has spread too rapidly, destabilizing the entire Middle East and parts of the Mediterranean. The US has shamelessly taken it even to the Indian ocean. And you have blood thirsty psychos like HogShit bragging about it on TV with impunity. And the telegraph is worried about a few dozen US troops?

If you’re going to argue that the troops didn’t choose the war, remember that they volunteered for this eventuality of dying alone at a remote region. The civilians being killed in this senseless show of violence didn’t agree to or even foresee this. All that for the vanity of those senile dictators with fragile egos, who want to cover up the heinous crimes they committed in their prime! How about going to the big building, tying up these psychopaths and dumping them in the desert to fight their own wars, instead of complaining about the lives of soldiers as if you’re not soldiers at all?

What about the ones who are frustrated? They kill so many kids that I no longer believe that any of this is accidental. It looks like psychological warfare aimed at their parents and the society through terrorism.

Just a clarification to start with. The deaths weren’t all school girls, though they were the majority. Similar aged school boys also seem to be involved, along with all the teachers and some parents.

Now about the attack. It reeked of deliberate cruelty even without the Al Jazeera report (I’m not a fan of theirs, for their biases). The attacking forces had intelligence accurate enough to determine that Ayatollah Khomeini was in a meeting with the regime’s senior leadership at his residence at a specific time. They also have munitions that can target and hit a specific room in a specific building from hundreds or even thousands of miles away. They still got it wrong and hit a primary school? Seems nearly impossible. Now even if their intelligence suggested that military operatives were in the building, there’s no way they would have missed the fact that there were also hundreds of kids, teachers and parents there.

All these points to a very disturbing possibility - deliberate targeting of children as part of an emotional warfare to destroy the morale of the locals. More appropriately called terrorism. We have seen similar patterns in Gaza where we know that kids were deliberately targeted. Children’s hospitals were attacked based on the excuse that Hamas was holed up in there. In either case, the presence of the children should have taken a higher priority over the presence of enemy combatants in the decision to attack. Or in other words, killing of children can’t be excused, irrespective of the presence of enemy combatants.

It didn’t make a lot of sense until Al Jazeera added a detail here - many kids were the children of defense personnel. Now it makes perfect sense about whose morale they were targeting. This is a serious threat to the world. The world’s most powerful armed alliance running around violating human rights and killing children with impunity, all at the whims of a racist, xenophobic, volatile and demented leadership is never going to be good news for the world.

Indian politics is really really dirty

This is inevitable because of one simple reason. The burden of power and rule in a democracy lies with its citizens, not with the politicians or the bureaucrats. They are only our representatives and executives. If we the people surrender our rightful authority to those people, they will usurp it and do as they please. It’s our duty to hold them accountable. And we consistently fail at that.

Take this case for instance. Despite being an incident that should have shocked the world, why aren’t we even discussing it on TV or social media? I expected more serious discussion at least here - not meaningless upvotes. We are talking about the possibility of close to 500 women who may have met a gruesome end (Meanwhile nobody is talking about the male victims yet. That number is also guaranteed to be huge). Why aren’t we demanding the politicians and bureaucrats to either take decisive action or else resign their jobs if they are incompetent? Why aren’t we shaming the national media with hashtag campaigns for neglecting such a horrific event? And we ourselves are not giving the Dharmasala victims even 1% of the attention we gave to Nirbhaya or the RG Kar doctor. Not that they didn’t deserve the attention, but what’s the point of shouting for 2 or 3 women when 500 in a bunch are ignored? This selective outrage is the reason why crimes against women keep repeating. Occasional road shows are just not going to cut it. I’m ashamed to be part of an extremely politically apathetic population in what’s supposed to be the world’s largest democracy! 😠

PS: I’m the nerd of the class - the type that stays away from politics. But this response is appalling even from my perspective. To make you understand the gravity of the situation, let me remind everyone this one fact - Bhagat Singh, the hero of two nations, was just 23 years old when he mounted the gallows for his nation. In comparison, nobody is asking anyone to kill or die here. Just to perform the fundamental duties expected of all of us by our constitution. If even that bare minimum is too much to ask, then nobody deserves the freedoms we enjoy, because they were won with the blood sacrifice of hundreds like Bhagat Singh!
