    I mean, Russia is the place where Krokodil happened so… I think when you’ve got people injecting themselves with shit that literally makes their flesh slough off their bones, it makes sense that the oligarchy would take drastic measures. Obviously they can’t, you know, improve their quality of life or anything. That’s insane.

      Going through the list, the laws don’t seem all that outlandish, and some are beneficial. The drug image laws aren’t that bad considering there are allowances for art and literature.

      I can even understand wanting to preserve the Russian language, many cultures do the same thing.
