      As somebody that went to Uni for art, most art is overrated LOL. You get a group fawning over something because to them it speaks to the deeper truth of the existance of x in y. And its just a round box painted blue.

        Because the cold hard truth is valuable art’s value is a combination of age, provence and most of all money laundering. Strait up; rich people moving shady money decide what goes in the art books.

          I know someone who teaches art history at the post grad level. Their focus is crime and art, and this is the truest thing ever. Want to move massive sums of money across borders without the government getting involved? Buy 1 art, and gift it to your friend! You can’t tax art!

            Donations, HLOCs, auctions with buyers behind lawyers, magic asset appreciation, insurance scams, etc… You can do all kinds of hinky shit with art, a lawyer and a creative accountant.

      Yeah I’m no connoisseur, and I believe art is wherever you look, but it honestly looks like something I see in my local museum except they tacked on a very pretentious title.
