I tried OSS Document Scanner a year ago but never really used it. It has way more features but I didn’t need any of them. With FairScan, you just take pictures, give them a name and save them either as a single PDF or a couple PNGs. Repeat if necessary.

I agree so much. Harvesting free energy with clever engineering makes me happy. This is the world I want to live in. But some people are stubborn and sluggish. It’s hard to not get impatient or angry.

Does it detect the four corners and adjusts the angle to make it flat 2D?

Haha, thanks. I didn’t know this existed! I already use Syncthing, so that’s no problem. And I like that FairScan rotates my picture and adjusts it’s angle. If the Paperless Uploader-app does this as well, I might use it. Taking a look right now!

I took my Very Important Documents!!-folder to a neighbour with a decent scanner. It’s not that much, we scanned for an hour or two. Older, less important stuff stays in binders I most likely will never touch. If I do have to look at something from there, I snap a quick FairScan before I put it back. So it’s not about perfection, I just try to make my live easier from now on. :)

Man kann ja zwei Dinge gleichzeitig fordern und das Fliegen zB sein lassen, solange es so große Schäden anrichtet. Ich finde es sehr selbstgerecht, die Verantwortung für das eigene Handeln auf Die Anderen™ zu schieben und am eigenen destruktiven Verhalten festzuhalten, bis es verboten wird. Damit verhalten sich die abermillionen Urlauber und Weltbürger genau so wie die asozialen Milliardäre. Nur halt mit weniger Macht und Ressourcen.

Gleichzeitig befeuert jede Flugreise den Zustand dieser Realität weiter. Es ist also sehr dumm, rücksichts- und verantwortungslos dies weiter zu tun. Wieviele Pauschalurlauber sind eine Taylor Swift im Privatjet?

Ich möchte diesen Angriff nicht relativieren, das ist wirklich schlimm und ich wünsche dem Opfer als Gute.

Gleichzeitig ist es auch eine Nachricht, die Klicks und damit Webegeld generiert, die unsere Angst und unser Misstrauen verstärkt. Es gab in Deutschland noch nie so wenig Morde wie im letzten Jahrzehnt. Hier mal eine Liste, die ich in der letzten Zeit zusammen getragen habe. Wovor haben wir Angst?
