One can usually tell by the cut of the material. For example, on tshirts, look at where the shoulder seam meets the neck, it will usually be to the back of center.

The_Hideous_Orgalorg@sh.itjust.workstoPolitical Memes@lemmy.world•Is democracy the best governance system we have?
5·5 days agoUnfortunately, the current problems would still largely be problems. With decades of incremental attacks on education, the general intelligence of the masses has been suppressed. Now the unintelligent have been weponized by the malicious oligarchy, in an effort to catapult themselves to deification.
Everyone should be voting, but we also need to ensure that everyone gets as much education as possible. A smarter populace benefits us all, through better choices and understanding. We need to reverse the damage done to education, and also work to increase empathy and reduce selfishness.
The greatest feats humans have accomplished have been thanks to working together toward a single goal. We need to help everyone understand this, and that the “I got mine” attitude is extremely harmful to all of us. Lifting up your neighbor is to lift up yourself.

2·6 days agoIndeed. A friend is adamant I put irons back on alongside the 1-6. Frankly, even at 6x I can still shoot at 25m. Anything under that and I can hit from the hip, so I don’t see the point. I would like to play around on the 600m range, but that’s going to be a different setup, rather than expecting everything from one kit.
In Michigan there are still a lot of trump flags displayed. I haven’t noticed any of them ready to dismiss their party loyalty.

1·6 days agoI have a strike eagle 1-6x24, it’s nice to about 100-200m. I would be curious to see it go to 10, but mine only cost about 180, so that extra magnification is unlikely to be worth almost 4x the cost to me.
Those in the UK can use 0118, 999, 881, 999, 119, 725…3.

I think there are so many things that are taken as granted and therefore omitted in the communication. This makes it more difficult to communicate as the personal experience of the participants diverges. Sometimes a wide gap will cause awareness, and therefore exposition of some of the normally unspoken components.
I see the same thing with “common sense”. People assume everyone knows these things, hence the label. However the knowledge under that label is actually the accumulation of many small lessons, any number of which might have been skipped by any individual. Especially today, as more and more people are raised by screens instead of parents and community, people can end up with glaring gaps in their accumulated knowledge.
Have you tried Factorio or Satisfactory?

Possibly a difference in construction materials. Most stuff in the US is made of wood and other flammable materials. From what I understand, brick/stone based materials are the most common in European buildings.
