When I was younger we often used to decorate cakes with these little silver balls, and I sometimes wonder what was in them that was so bad that they don’t seem to make them any more…

got me curious so i looked it up and they were called dragées apparently

since 1906, U.S. regulations have prohibited the manufacture or sale of any food that uses any metal or mineral substance—including silver—as a food coloring, coating, or additive.[8] The U.S. Food and Drug Administration considers the silver and gold metallic-finish sugar dragées to be inedible, and they may be sold only when accompanied with a notice that they are to be used for decorative purposes only.[8] Almonds that have been coated the same way are not permitted at all.[8] Although metallic-finish dragées can be purchased in 49 U.S. states, they are no longer sold in California.[9]

Squeeze it in between two break pads, and you’ve got a robots equivalent of a PBJ sandwich

Completely random question: Do you have dab a bit of antiseize between a hub and rotor? I suppose any grease would work to reduce corrosion “sticking” the parts together, but I was always taught antiseize works best, for whatever reason.

I do, helps prevent them rusting together and holds up to the heat of braking.

        Goes on wheel studs too.

I always use antiseize between wheel hub and rotor hub. Its a grease with graphite powder or something right?
