The inverted T is god-damned masterpiece, regardless of where it’s placed. Your middle finger is already longer than the others and naturally rests closer to the top edge of the down arrow, requiring a minimal amount of movement to get to the up arrow. This is why it outlasted cross-nav and various godawful clusters or shift-pairs like on early 8-bit home computers, and why it never faced a serious challenge from layout-complicating diamond-nav or “does it exactly backwards” T-nav. It’s also more intuitive than 4-key linear nav, though fair play to you if your brain can make it work. I do tend to think that some folks make a commitment to staying on the home row that goes way beyond the strict needs of carpal tunnel health, but I’m a row-stagger heathen so take my thoughts for whatever they’re worth.

Well, I did say possibility.
If nothing else, and back in the Bush days it’s pretty much all we had, they accept the possibility that they can lose elections. The bar is literally laying on the ground, yet MAGA still can’t clear it.

Well, yes. Lubbock is as Lubbock was. It is known.
Texas is a mess.
This is also true.

2·3 days agoWell, I cheated. While I was in the middle of trying to learn how to properly set it up, somebody on the ZMK discord released ZMK Shield Wizard, which let me set the layout and get a repository with a properly compiling Github Action set up, despite my not being a coder in any meaningful sense of the word. Then all I had to do was figure out how to map the Japanese Duplex matrix that Yushakobo uses to work on ZMK’s charlieplexing matrix-scanner (mostly trial and error). I understand you lose one of the killer features for battery life, but I was extremely pleased it worked at all. I flashed the ZMK Studio firmware file it built and “fixed” my layout there.

First it’ll just be expanded to missing kids and olds, because of course everyone wants to reunite families, but eventually it’ll be something that “law enforcement” can request for whatever the hell they want, because after all they’re the good guys keeping us safe!

Television@piefed.social•Favorite movie continuation of a TV series?English
6·4 days agoCertainly NOT Dead Like Me. Still salty about that one.
Serenity and Star Trek as others have said are proabbly my actual favorites. The original Naked Gun movies were based on the short-lived Police Squad show and are as close to maintaining continuity as anything ZAZ could be. Then, the original Transformers animated movie gets more credit than it deserves due to nostalgia and not being a Michael Bay mess, but it had no business being even as good as it was.

8·4 days agoBut, and hear me out here, it’s also wicked cool.
Ours is more stick-shaped though, and really only good for candle wicks. If we smoked, you might be able to get a cigarette into the arc. It’d probably also work well if your grill’s or gas stove’s spark igniter was broken.
All with full 40s sets?
Oh, God no. Sorry! Mostly they’re on more normie boards, but the Mitospeed being R3 and full of nonsense legends would go well on a 40 or 40-adjacent.
I’ve reluctantly come to realize that I just don’t like the feel of Cherry all that much. I prefer DCS if I’m going to go cylindrical. The sharp edges on Cherry are just all wrong for my poor typing technique.
I got Tatooine, Oblivion (Hagoromo), Laser, and Mitospeed for some pretty steep discounts, as well as the DSS Honeywell from PrimeKB. My options for cheap but unused SP are quickly drying up though, lol.
Funny enough, the board I come back to most often is the first one I did on the no-stabs PCB (minimum order quanity is a burden to us all!), which has semi-sculpted Akko SA on it. When avoiding stabs, good 40s kitting is essential even if I also need a numpad.
SA Teletype is such a pretty set, and I really like SA R3, and the designer seems like a good guy. It was the one time I was seriously tempted to pay full price for “name brand” keycaps. I don’t even use 40s, but I had a layout rigged to adapt an existing no-stabs FRL 1800 PCB I designed a while back.

1·5 days agoRaspberry for me, though I’m not sure if it’s fully artificial or “just” ultra-processed. It’s also partly because I like that flavor but I’m mildly allergic and about 25% of the time I eat it, my lip swells a bit, so I try to minimize how often I have it.

2·6 days agoYeah, I don’t know what they’re on about. I was just doing a replay of F:NV, and the Strip and Freeside sets alone are enough to satisfy most of your fan service needs. There were little nods to the lore and game mechanics all over the place in both seasons, to the point where I actually got pulled out of the story a couple of times.
I get why they didn’t focus on feral ghouls, because this isn’t The Walking Dead, but…
spoiler
They are there, and Cooper in particular does drugs specifically to avoid going feral.
